At the end of this, I would first like to congratulate you on your successful high school journey so far! Faculty members of the Special Events Committee have been meeting to plan the senior activities that will be happening throughout your senior year. This letter serves to give you an overview of some of the activities and costs necessary to make next year a huge success. I look forward to all that is ahead next year! Senior Dues*: Senior dues are necessary from all graduating seniors in order to provide for the cost of many senior activities. The money is used towards (but is not limited to) the cost of:
Senior Awards Ceremony and Dinner
Graduation caps and gowns
Graduation Costs (i.e. flowers, food, programs)
Senior dues are $TBD (unless paid late) and payable by cash or money order only. Please make the money order out to “The Facing History School.” All money is non-refundable and must be handed directly to Samara or Admin. If you do not pay senior dues, you do not participate in senior activities including graduation. The money is due using the following payment plan options:

*Senior dues are the only REQUIRED expense of seniors and should be brought to Kristina, who will provide a receipt. If you pay senior dues but do not graduate in June, you can still attend the Senior Awards Ceremony, get your gift and yearbook and get your cap and gown. If you are an August graduate, you can use your cap and gown at the Citywide Summer Graduation.
Senior Year Events included with Senior Dues:
We are looking for committed individuals to help the yearbook committee put it together. We will need people to take pictures, to organize the pages on the computer (we have a very easy software), to take care of content (such as organizing surveys for senior superlatives) etc.
Senior Awards Ceremony: Seniors will be honored at an evening award ceremony in mid-June (Date and location to be determined). Seniors also have the opportunity to honor their advisor as well as a person who has helped motivate them towards graduation. Seniors receive a limited number of tickets. Food will be provided. Seniors also receive their senior gift at the awards ceremony.
Graduation: Graduation date will be in late June. Graduating students are provided with a limited number of tickets and may request more, but extra tickets are not guaranteed. Cake and dessert will be provided.
Senior Year Events at an additional cost:
Senior Prom*: Senior dues DO NOT cover prom.
Cost: Approximately $TBD per person. The cost includes:
o Your ticket to prom
o Unlimited buffet of delicious food
o Unlimited non-alcoholic drinks
o 4 hours of entertainment with your friends!
You may purchase a ticket for a date in advance. Your date must sign a contract before the prom. They will need ID to be admitted into the Prom. Remember you are responsible for your date.
*Please note that the price and date may change, but you will be informed of all changes. Remember this is also an additional expense.
Senior Trip: Senior dues DO NOT cover the trip.

Senior Dues MUST be paid before you can reserve your spot for the Senior Trip or Prom! Senior year can be expensive. Make sure you budget wisely if you want to do all activities:
